Regarding Uighur Muslims, Prabowo's camp questioned the attitude of the Jokowi government

The coalition of supporters of the presidential candidate-vice presidential candidate, Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno criticized the attitude of the Indonesian Government which was considered to be unequivocal in responding to the suppression of Uighur Muslims in the People's Republic of China (PRC).

Prabowo-Sandi Coalition suspects that this happened because the Indonesian Government did not move towards China. BPN's Foreign Director Prabowo-Sandi, Irawan Ronodipuro assessed that the hegemony of the Chinese Government is currently very large in Indonesia.

It was judged to be increasingly apparent when the Jokowi Government could not do much about the humanitarian tragedy experienced by Uighur Muslims in China.

"Supposedly, as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, Indonesia has a high bargaining position on events such as those experienced by Uighur Muslims. But in fact it does not move," Irawan said in a written statement on Monday.

He also compared China's treatment of Uighur Muslims with thousands of foreign workers (TKA) from China which are planned to flock to Indonesia to be involved in the Jakarta-Bandung fast train project.

The Chinese TKA is rumored to be occupying a number of strategic positions in the project, ranging from staff, engineers or workers who have expertise, and managers or project managers and positions of general manager, project director or deputy project director. While local workers from Indonesia fill the most unskilled labor positions or unskilled workers.
