United Nations Candidates Declare Support to Prabowo-Sandiaga

Dozens of legislative candidates from the Crescent Star Party (PBB) who are members of the Prabowo-Sandi Bulan Bintang (PAS Lantang) organization declared their support to candidate pair number 02, Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno. The declaration was carried out at the Prabowo-Sandiaga National Secretariat, Central Jakarta on Sunday. The declaration program was attended directly by the vice-presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno.

 In the text of the declaration read by the Chairman of PAS Lantang Habib Yahya, the direction of the support refers to the results of the ulama's decree to support the candidate pair. "We, all UN candidates who joined the Jakarta Lantang Pass, or the Prabowo-Sandi Bulan Bintang volunteer organization in the Jakarta area, continue to accept the mandate of the ulema to support Prabowo-Sandi as presidential candidate in the 2019 Presidential Election," Yahya said.

PAS Lantang Advisory Council Ahmad Yani said he did not want to escape the UN identity as an Islamic party founded by dozens of Islamic organizations. Therefore, even though UN Chairperson Yusril Ihza Mahendra was the lawyer for candidate number 01 Joko Widodo-Ma'ruf Amin, they as UN cadres continued to follow the results of the ulama's ulema. "It is impossible for the UN to withdraw from its roots, the roots of the United Nations are Islamic organizations and ulama, the ulama have determined, we have no other words than to obey the ulama's decision," he explained.

Sandiaga welcomed the support with open arms and was grateful for the support of PAS Lantang. "This is in the name of Mr. Prabowo and the BPN. I would like to thank you, this is a mandate for us to fight for a just and prosperous Indonesia, a better economy, created jobs and a heavy burden of life, we can make it happen," Sandi said. On that occasion, the former Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta also invited his volunteers who were present to campaign in the remaining time remaining to achieve a victory.
